Hadara Levin Areddy

Hadara Levin Areddy, An honored Film/TV graduate of NYU, lived 7 years in New York City, where she directed an independent feature and gave birth to Adaam James. She then returned to Jerusalem, where she was born and raised, directed some TV-documentaries, authored a poetry book ("Papaya Zoom") and worked as a free-lance writer for several magazines. In 2000 Hadara started her music career without any previous notion, experience or relevant education, surprising herself and everyone else. Just like that, she began writing her piano driven songs, performing them around, instantly winning the favoring embrace of fans, media and the Israeli music industry as the most innovative, prolific and inspiring artist around. A free spirited rebel singer/songwriter, she's been playing in festivals around the world, winning hearts with her independent ways, sharp lyrics and mad sense of humour. Since 2001 she has released 5 albums, 2 EP's (one recordeded in Glasgow) and 2 re-issues with previously unrelased bonus tracks. She's currently working on 2 new albums (see the DISCOGRAPHY page for details). Hadara was awarded Best Alternative singer/sogwriter of the year in 2002. In 2005 she was nominated for the BEST SINGER and BEST SONG awards of the Israeli Music TV.
