Greta Ida grew up as a cosmopolitan girl, in Hungary and Germany. At the age of 6 she liked the songs of the Hungarian songstress "Halasz Judi" and since then she was sure to become a singer. At the age of 10 she rummaged around in the big record closet, which belonged to her aunt, and listened secretly to the albums of Melanie, Sisters of Mercy, Cat Stevens, Neil Young and rockbands from Hungary. At the age of 15 she devoted all her time to music and art, lived in the Netherlands, London, Cologne, Hungary and finally in Berlin where she formed with composer, songwriter and author David A.Line one of the most famous Gothic-Bands "UNTOTEN". In the coming years, the team Line/Csatlos influenced the gothic-scene decisively and gave the outmoded dark/new-wave scene a new sexy and creative look. But musically spoken something innovative stimulated Greta and so she fathomed on her first album various facets of popmusic and found, it seems by her own devolution, back to the roots of her musical fondness, that she already had since she was a child. The recording-sessions with producer David A. Line took place in the Hungarian metropolis Budapest and in Leipzig/Germany. Greta Ida builds a bridge between east and west and achieves, nearly playful, to give the listener the feeling of an exciting, fresh easterly touch. Direct and from the bottom of the heart she takes us away to a voyage, telling us her tales. Tales full of imagination but however so personal, so enchanted as life itself. Read more on Last.fm.
