Greg Summerlin

Leaving behind the warm Alabama fall, Summerlin joined producer Ed Ackerson (Replacements, Golden Smog, Brian Setzer, Juliana Hatfield) in a cozy Minneapolis studio to record "All Done in Good Time." Together, with grandiose Who-like execution, Summerlin and Ackerson triumphed in delivering a sincere album with songs to hook you into a sing along or embrace you in an epic tale. After leaving the groundbreaking alt-country band, The Quinsonics and their loyal fanbase in the late 90's, Summerlin has steadily developed his own following across the country and worldwide. Helping to raise Summerlin's profile is Paste Magazine, who selected Summerlin's last record for the Paste recommends program. Summerlin's first two records have also been licensed for use by MTV and A&E programming. Mixing business with pleasure, Summerlin is also the founder and owner of Superphonic Records which has quickly become one of the leading indie labels in the Southeast. In 2007 Summerlin will help see the release of several highly anticipated albums including those of AA Bondy (Verbena), Louis Schefano (Regia / Remo Zero) and John P. Strohm (The Lemonheads / Blake Babies). "wherever his influnces call home, there's no denying the appeal of sunny, upbeat, and beguiling pop tunes which are guaranteed to stay in your head for days." - The Big Takeover "Great stuff. This is indie-pop rock at its best. I can tell this is going to be one that I listen to a lot this summer." - Evansville Courier and Post "It's a fantastic listen - managing to sound like a top-flight US college-rock band bulging with the biggest Britpop melodies you're likely to hear in quite some time. And to call us new converts to the church of Greg Summerlin is quite the understatement" - Hecklerspray.com (UK) "Summerlin gives us a nice, shiny mix of Britpop and power pop, and I was drawn right in. Summerlin's batting average is pretty high on this disc." - Palm Beach Post "The songs are straightforward, guitar-driven rock songs that are relatively simple - simply good that is. Out of five, I give this album five ups" - Indiana Statesman "What this record will do is grow to become the sleeper hit of the year." - Earfood.net "The Young Meteors is a Brit-pop influenced romp that's ...sure to find its way into the hearts of the hippest of teens and thirtysomethings that have yet to grow up." - Orlando City Beat "Indie rockster Greg Summerlin has concocted a fantastic formula into a potion that should have this star on the rise." - Infuzemag.com Read more on Last.fm.
