Grand Resort

Grand Resort is the creative endeavor of 21-year-old Andrés Pichardo. A native of the Dominican Republic, Pichardo moved from his hometown of La Romana to Boston, MA in 2009 to study recording at the New England Institute of Art. Before graduating, Pichardo spent his final months in Boston locked away in his room, pouring all his energy into the creation of what would come to be known as Grand Resort. In February of 2012, Andrés moved to New York City and quickly built a reputation among the Brooklyn music scene. After a summer of local shows at DIY mainstays like 285 Kent and Glasslands, Grand Resort earned their name as one of Brooklyn’s most exciting new artists. Grand Resort self released their debut EP, Vanguard Dreams, in 2012. Mastered by Josh Bonati (The Men, Widowspeak, Zola Jesus), the nine-song EP went on to earn Pichardo praise well beyond his NYC digs. Vanguard Dreams was followed up by a 5 song EP, Memory Loss, released on August 6th 2013. Read more on Last.fm.
