A Detroit punk band active in the 70s Formed at Detroit in 1976 by Skid Marx (bass, vocals) and his wife Rockee Re Marx (vocals), with Gaetano and Thomas St. Thomas on guitars and Steve Sortor (from Mutants) on drums. They had a sound that leaned more towards hard rock and inspired by early proto-punk bands MC5 and The Stooges. Their first release was the Don't Push Me b/w De-generator 7" in 1978 on the label Real Records and played several gigs opening for a host of national acts including Patti Smith, Devo, Johnny Thunders & the Heartbreakers and Robin Lane & the Chartbusters at many of the well-know clubs of the era including Max's Kansas City, Hurrah and Danceteria in New York City, the Rat and the Space in Boston and the Pirate's Cove in Cleveland. In 1980 Flirt released their second recording, a 10 inch Ep titled Faster Than You. On March 1, 2007 Sins Of Your Fathers Presents was released on label Snaps with audio session and multimedia section with complete history of the band, an interview, photo gallery and a live DVD with 3 new live tracks recorded in a reunion gig. 3.
