Filthy Angels

Filthy Angels formed in early 2009. Consisting of brothers Matty James and Philthy, alongside angry punker Johnny Danger and drummer Oi! Oi! Eden Ralph. The Angels play attitude driven 3-chord rock n’ roll. Don’t bore us.. get to the chorus. Taking inspiration from Ramones, Johnny Thunders, Dogs D’amour and The Clash, the Angels blast out memorable hooks and sing along choruses, all delivered with a drunken, gutter dog swagger. They made their live debut in 2009, releasing a limited edition single to mark the occasion which sold out that same night. During the summer of 2010 Filthy Angels independently produced and released the single/video, ‘Can’t Go Home’, which received great response through downloading at filthyangels.bandcamp.com. The Angels played a series of successful headlining and support slots across Ireland and hit the mainland for a few shows, most notably headlining the Manchester Academy 3. More recently in 2011 the Angels set off with other Irish band, We Come In Pieces, on the ‘Drunken Disorderly’ UK tour. A special Tour E.P was released and made availiable for download and in CD format at the gigs. Filthy Angels will spend the remainder of 2011 playing a few more gigs in the UK and writing/recording their debut album which will be released in the new year. Read more on Last.fm.
