Eduardo Mendonça

EDUARDO MENDONÇA. Eduardo Mendonça, is a native of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil and received his Master in Arts Education at the Instituto de Música da Universidade Católica do Salvador (Music Institute of the Catholic University of Salvador). Mendonça performed as featured musician in many venues in Bahia, and in 1991 he was featured in Paul Simon’s documentary music video, “Born at the Right Time.” In 1999 in Seattle, Eduardo Mendonça performed for former South Africa President Nelson Mandela, and in 2008 Eduardo performed twice for Dalai Lama in Seattle. He is winner of “Outstanding Brazilian Male Singer Based in US” for the 10th Annual Brazilian International Press Award 2007 (Florida). In 2006, he received the “Tribute” from Centro Cultural Hispano Americano, and the Hispanic and Portuguese Studies of the University of Washington – for Excellence, Contribution and Achievements in the Advancement of Performing Arts and Education of the Brazilian Music. Eduardo is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammy Nomination). Read more on Last.fm.
