American singer Dick Kent was one of the regular vocalists used to record ' Song Poems' during the 60's and 70's. The idea was that the public could send their poems , accompanied by a cheque, and have their work set to music by the companys in- house band and singers. Kent's classic tracks include the tragic ' Octopus Woman Please Let Me Go ' , the heartwarming tale of sibling reunion ' A Christmas Rose ' and the silky pro Steely Dan stylings of ' Maker Of Smooth Music'.
