De Saloon is an Alternative rock/Pop rock band from Concepción, Chile. Formed in 1997, the band consists of Jean Pierre Duhart (vocals, guitar), Roberto Arancibia (bass) and Ricardo Barrenechea (drums). In 1999, they moved to Santiago motivated by the success in radio stations of their first demo, Esfumar. With the release of their second song, Brígida, the band established itself as a Chilean-rock promise. 2003 saw the release of their eponymous first album, whose single Té quickly became one of the most popular songs in nation-wide radio stations. The following year the band got a nomination for Best New Band in the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America as they were releasing their second album, Morder. The band has proven to be comfortable with an ample set of musical genres, having successfully composed ballads, power rock tunes and pop-oriented music. In 2006 they released their 3rd album, Abrázame, and in 2008 their 4rd one, Delicada Violencia. Read more on Last.fm.
