Bronze Age Fox were:- Dominic Jones - voice David Edwards - drums / programming Will Edwards - bass Thom Stone - guitar Bronze Age Fox were four boys from Bristol with a penchant for pop songs but a perverse interest in sullying them with all manner of subtle trickeries. The NME described them as 'possibly our classiest leftfield pop band', and they weren't wrong. The line-up included the shadowy electronic story maker Red Setter (Dominic), and the amiable producer of Instrumental Computer-Based Pop, Minotaur Shock (David). Bronze Age Fox released a scutch of incredibly collectable shaped singles in 2004 (people were selling their Granny's gold teeth to get a hold of them), and the music on them was pretty damn good too, so much so that the big wigs at a very large record label saw potential and snapped them up. Now this is where the BAF story takes a bit of a downward turn I'm afraid. The aforementioned label gave them a bunch of money and told them to go out on tour... The lads being homely types thought balls to that and booked some studio time and recorded an album instead... Brilliant. Well apparently it was a little too free thinking for the big shot label and they were mightily peeved (why???) and decided to shelve the album.... (why???). This led to lots of wrangling and maneuvering trying to get the album released but to no avail, and in the end it all proved too much for the band and they split in 2007, with the album (Impossible!) still sadly unreleased. At least until 2009 when Spoilt Victorian Child Records released it.
