Bambou is the pseudonym of the Eurasian model and singer Caroline von Paulus. Von Paulus was married to the French singer Serge Gainsbourg in the 1980's. She met Gainsbourg in 1980 at L'Elysée Matignon in Paris. Over the following years she was involved with several of Gainsbourg's projects, including modeling for his photobook "Bambou et les poupées". She gave birth to their son, Lucien 'Lulu' Gainsbourg in 1986. Her career as a singer was short-lived, consisting mainly of an album of interpretations of Gainsbourg's songs, 'Made in China', which was released in 1989. She returned to the mic in 2003 at the request of Marc Lavoine for his hit 'Dis moi que l'amour'. Read more on Last.fm.
