With an album under their belt and another on the way, Backroads is ready to set the stage for a new dynamic of rock, full of aggressive riffs and infectious melodies. Their “in your face” live show and strong work ethic have earned them the reference “Juggernaut” by Q92 Sudbury. Brothers Matt & Chris Doherty set the tone in Backroads, by Chris laying the foundation with his massive locomotive style of drumming and Matt with his “wall of sound” guitar approach. Boyd (Andrew) brings his thunderous bass styling to the mix and Troy ties it all together with vocals that bleed melody and evoke emotion. Their various influences bring a unique (yet somewhat familiar) sound to the rock genre, earning them the title of “Sudbury’s Best Band” two years in a row!
