Antonio Onorato is a Neapolitan guitarist and composer whose aim has always been the fusion of a typically Afro-American language with the melodic tradition of his own town through the constant experimentation of new musical forms and sounds, such as those obtained on the Yamaha Synth Guitar, a breath-controller special instrument. He published several Cds, released. He has played live with many important artists such as Pino Daniele, George Benson, Franco Cerri, James Senese, Toninho Horta, Mike Mainieri. He wrote arrangements for TV programmes and has played for Giancarlo Giannini, Noa and Roberto De Simone. He took part in many radio programmes and was many time the welcomed guest of Nick The Nighfly, the famous DJ both on Radio Capital and Radio Montecarlo. The present line-up of his band: Joe Amoruso (piano e keyboard) Diego Imparato (bass guitar) Mario De Paola (drums) At present he also works as a teacher at the Associated Musicians' School, in Naples.
