Antonina Krzyszton

Antonina Krzysztoń (born on June 13 1954 in Cracow, Poland) is a Polish vocalist, composer and lyricist. Her musical style is poezja spiewana. Besides her own texts she also composed music for poems by Zbigniew Herbert and sung songs by Karel Kryl. She started out her career at the Polish Music Festival in 1980 in Gdańsk. She often appeared at parties for the opposition. In 1983 she won the first prize at the Studen Music Festival in Kraków. She is a member of the Free Speech association. On May 3 2006 she was awarded Polonia Restituta by the president of Poland. So far she released eight solo albums and guest appeared for several bands. Read more on Last.fm.
