There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Songwriter Willem Evers discovered the Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) by accident. Blown away by the magical sound of ELO he instantly decided to write new music in ELO-style and form a band to perform these new songs with. The band was to be called AlternativA. In just 2 months Willem wrote 19 ELO-inspired songs and selected 14 to be on the first AlternativA album called: A Night In Starlight, released in mid 2005. In early July the album A Night In Starlight was released and instantly became very popular among the ELO-fans worldwide. Later on, in Oktober 2005 AlternativA re-released their first single Join Us For Christmas, this time with an extra bonus-track Voyage Of Time. Finally in March 2008 a new EP called ''An Unexpected Surprise'' was released, containing their new single Secret Melody. The second album called ''Reality Is Only a Dream'' is to be released in Oktober 2008 and will contain 14 tracks. Songwriter Willem Evers is working on a new project as well:''Alternative-A'', the music will be a bit different; the sound of this project is mainly influenced by bands like the Foo Fighters.
