Imagine Roots Manuva take on hip hop, mixed with some of them dirty basslines and broke-the-fukk-up-beats of a Dizzy Rascal, but still warm sounding like that future soul of a Sa Ra Partners collective - retouched and dubbed to the outer limits by a Mad Professor now that's the sound of Al Haca in a nutshell. Ten years in the game as a soundsystem, five as a production team, two classic records released internationally along with a catalogue of remixes. Al Haca is an open source production collective with members based in Germany (Greifswald, Stuttgart, Berlin), as well as in Birmingham, UK. Being that the sound of Al Haca grew out of the bass-cabinet culture and is meant to be experienced on massive soundsystems where it becomes literally physical, the crew has been bringing it to clubs and festivals consistently over the last three years. The Al Haca live shows range from a full band set up, which includes two vocalists, live electronic programming, live bass and guitar as well as live percussion, to a more stripped down version of the above mentioned, which is based on live programming and vocal participation.
