3D2 is a band formed by three young musicians with a common goal: their passion for artistic musical expression. They have known each other for their whole lives, but they have been together as a band for more than 10 years. Band members Elsa, Maikin and Moises have joined forces to overcome all obstacles as a group, without ever compromising each member’s unique personality and style. 3D2 made their debut in the year 2000 with the label Weras Records. Their first album is titled “Cansado de Ser Feliz” and several music videos were produced from the album’s singles. These musicians live their lives creating and staying active on and off the stage. Maikin, the drummer, also works as a video director and is the band’s official comedian. He tells: “Film means more to me than simply making movies; it’s also a powerful tool used to inspire other people with timeless characters and amazing landscapes.” Moises, the band’s guitar player, comments on his favorite hobby: I simply love photography, it takes up all of my free time.” Elsa adds: “I live for the stage, especially when I am with the people I love.” The South American-born members of 3D2 have lived most of their lives in New York, a place where multiculturalism has influenced them artistically. They have been playing increasingly bigger shows, always listening to their followers while gaining many more along the way. Their most recent musical offering, a full-length CD titled “Los Hijos de Mama", was recorded in Mexico City in late 2008. Moreover, several music videos have already been produced for the album’s singles. Regarding the band’s stay in Mexico, Elsa explains: “It was one of the most magical things that have happened to us – working with wonderful people and being in a beautiful country. They treated us as stars, so we really want to thank all of the people that worked with us in the making of this album.” The band 3D2 has had the pleasure to appear in the media, including appearances in Television networks such as Univision, Telemundo and Azteca America among many others. Their hit song “El Gran Bailador”, taken from their latest album, has been in heavy rotation on several radio stations, including Radio “La Kalle” 105.9 FM. Read more on Last.fm.
