WALDINO AKA "The Love Gypsies" consists of Walter Liskiewicz and Jimmy Shellberg. They also utilize various vagabond artists who round out the group of gypsies. Walt Liskiewicz began pursuing his passion for music when he retired early from the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He had a wide range of musical ideas and created songs which were original and fresh. He partnered with producer/guitarist Jimmy Shellberg and they refined and produced songs that had contagious grooves and powerful hooks to capture the listeners ear. Their first CD was "The Faces of Love". On this CD the song "Rainy Day" was selected to be on a soul/jazz compilation CD called "Street and Soul" put out for radio promotional purposes by the Oasis group. This song was also selected to be on a jazz compilation CD to raise funds for breast cancer. Walt and Jimmy worked even harder at that point to produce their second CD called "Go With the Flow". This CD was an effort they were proud of and it spawned even more opportunities for them. It recieved a lot of airplay in the college markets being played at over 125 major colleges and Universities in North America, The CD went as high as 11 in the top 30 college countdown in the Tornto market, and finished in the top 30 in at least a dozen other colleges and Universites. All of these statistics come from the Planetary Group out of Boston, Mass. The college market where the CD seemed to have the greatest success was the R&B and Jazz markets. With a little coaxing from the head of smoothjazz.com, Sandy Shore, we were convinced to make an all jazz cd. Working closely with Sandy Shore, the Love Gypsies created this all jazz cd.This CD should prove to be the best work yet done by the Love Gypsies. Feel the love, it just grows and grows. © 2006 LOVEGYPSIES / WALDINO Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
