there seem to be 3 or more artists/bands with the name VIZION: 1.Vizion (born James Haley,) is a rap artist from the Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana Area. He was featured on HBO earlier this decade, has secured licensing deals with companies such as ADIDAS, and has recently had his music featured in the Cannes Film Festival's award winning movie, Los Bastardos, which was directed by Amat Escalante. His work is intensely personal and he has helped many other local artists achieve recognition. Refusing to let popular hip-hop culture sway him as an artist, he has repeatedly asserted "I am not like other M.C.'s," maintaining a focus on personal expression despite the temptations offered to him by the attention his work has earned. 2.Vincent fugÈre is a graphic designer and musician from montreal canada. he runs the apegenine record label and the camomille netlabel in his spare time. he also creates electro-acoustic music since 1997 (at the time known as vizion) as muhr and has released on many high profile netlabels such as serein, miasmah, kahvi, zymogen and 12rec. he currently works in graphic design and does textural and naive visual digital art under the alias of 143. 3. Vizion is a talented group of musicians from the Caribbean. Formed some 10 years ago, the group formerly known as the Visioneerz has taken shape and form and has matured both as individuals and musically. The band hails from the beautiful Island of Dominica in the W.I nestled between the French colonies of Martinque and Guadelope. Being once a British colony, the Island shares a French heritage, a factor that defines its music and culture. Such a background has crafted Vizion's wealth of diverse musical talent, which emerged from a heritage of traditional folk music and dances. Belle’, GimPing, Mazouk, Cadancelypso and bouyon are all native musical styles that has influenced Vizion's music. Regional styles like Calypso, Soca, Zouk, Compa and Reggae has also significantly influenced their musical style, being ‘One Caribbean One People’. The group has toured the islands unleashing its rhythmic energy and positive vibrations under the genre of gospel music. Being born again and anointed musicians, the band maintains a spiritual lyrical content ,with uncompromising styles of Caribbean rhythms. So far the group has produced two albums and is presently working on its third release. Vizion has shared stage with the likes of Jamaican reggae stars such as Papa San, Carlene Davis, Barbados’ Promise, B.V.I’s Regenerated Singers, and Shine The Light of the U.S Virgin Islands .Vizion has made appearances in local and regional gospel festivals in the Caribbean and has played in many church conventions, crusades, youth camps, and outreach ministries. Based in the USA for almost 3 years now, the band has performed in churches throughout Atlanta and it’s surrounding areas of Georgia. Performing at such venues as: The Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry Holiday events at Turner Field, the yearly Sweet Auburn Festival in Atlanta, with appearances at the college of CFNI, located in Texas, and at the FOX theater for the outstanding play “The Path” written by Pastor Deline, from the NOC (Nation of Christ Church) where the band members worship. These all serve as land marks in its quest for higher heights in the music industry. As a primary goal, Vizion‘s purpose is to exalt the name of the undisputed King of Kings and Lord of Lords Jehovah god. The band’s source of strength and inspiration is from the everlasting word of Jah, the foundation and hope of believers of the holy scriptures. While today’s popular music promotes everything else under the sun, Vizion reveals messages of truth, peace and hope in its music as oracles of God. The band is a five piece group led by Frederick Alphonse who’s also the lead vocalist. .Juhannis Darroux produces and writes for the band and is the drummer and background vocalist. Mr. Darroux does Reggae dancehall Dub styles and Rap while on drums, a feature that adds to the band act on stage. Dorsette Lewis is the keyboardist and Kachia Darroux does background vocals. Eddie Angol is behind the production and is the lyricist master behind the songs along with Juhannis Darroux. Together this extraordinary group creates a new sound of Gospel Music and a new wave of Gospel Entertainment. Not only could Vizion create a National buzz, but because they are fluent in French Creole and are well known for their music in the Caribbean Islands , this could possibly set off an international movement that the Gospel industry has never seen before, a new trend, a new style and a new VIZION.
