versbox (aka VBX), a german hip-hop crew, was founded in 1996 and since then released 3 albums which are named ernte23, koyaanisqatsi and schattenboxen (in english: shadowboxing). All albums have been released on CD by versbox itself and also are available for free (GEMA-free and creative commons licensed) on their homepage. versbox currently consists of the members cruz+, tycoon and gambit. in the year 2004 rap.so.die and mad skill left the band for their personal projects. versbox experienced and proved their live abilities on countless jams and gigs (e.g. with Jeru the Damaja, Afu-Ra, Toni L, Curse, MC Rene, David P, MC Fresh, Kool Savas, Patrice, Gentleman, Such a surge, DJ Friction). They also performed at a lot of demonstrations for peace, against fascism and also took part at various charity- and benefit activities (e.g. for amnesty international).
