But being introduced to Country music in his earlier years by his parents, that Country spark struck back up again when he moved to Montana. then he competed in a Glenrock, WY talent show six years in a row, as well as started doing local competitions such as First Night Idol (Third Place), Colgate Country Showdowns (Second Place), and Montana Idol (First Place). One of his biggest achievement's was being voted a top six national finalist in the hit show The Next GAC Star on the network GAC (Great American Country). As a finalist Tyler was flown to Nashville twice for a two part televised finale to compete for a Gibson Hummingbird Guitar and a record deal with Original Signal Recordings. Unfortunately he didnt make top four, but he knew that this was a big step being as he was only 18 years old at the time, and he knew it was a once in a lifetime experience!
