There are at least Two artists called Twofold. 1) Twofold are a UK/US Electronic Music duo formed in 2012, comprised of producers Adam Crewes-Meyer and Adam McKinney. The duo were picked up by Canadian Dubstep artist Datsik who signed them to his label Firepower Records. Twofold released their début EP entitled 'The Prelude', which enjoyed relative success in the electronic music scene. Online music outlet 'trackitdown.com' described the six tracks from the EP as "innovative, high energy club smashers". The duo's style has been described as "a unique blend of melody, atmosphere, and sheer driven power". ---------------------------------------------- 2) Twofold was a UK band comprising of Danny Barnes, Lindsay Corstorphine, Simon Kiely and John Wright, on drums, guitar, bass and guitar respectively. All members at one time played a part in fronting a song vocally, so the notion of a 'frontman' or 'lead singer' as such was irrelevant. After beginning with a sound rooted in pop-punk and post-hardcore acts such as Small Brown Bike and Hot Water Music, their sound began to shift towards heavy use of keyboards and strong flourishes of the sound of JR Ewing and Q And Not U. The band began to be described with phrases as wide-ranging as "almost Britpop", "art-rock" and "Graham Coxon meets Daft Punk". Twofold disbanded in October 2005 after years of touring with the likes of Hundred Reasons, Hell Is For Heroes, Million Dead, Capdown, Cursive, Hot Water Music, Lucky Thirteen, Stapleton, Five Knuckle, Strike Anywhere, Douglas and Fig.4.0. Shortly before playing their last gig, the band released a posthumous collection of their recorded works (entitled 'Dance To The Rhythm' on Gravity DIP). Members went on to become involved in The Steal, The Don Ramos Players, Top Chess, The Young Soul Rebels and Pumps. Read more on Last.fm.
