Tucandeo are the trance duo who are immerging as another great talent to come from the ever impressive Irish trance scene. Daniel Cullen and Kevin Murphy are two Belfast lads who met randomly at a Dance festival in 2006, sparked up a friendship, went clubbing together and as they listened to the same producers and Djs, decided to form a DJ/producer duo. There is nothing out of the ordinary about their meeting but since then they have evolved into credible new artists who are now being recognised for their unique and distinctive style of trance. While most other Irish producers are pushing the more epic and tech sounds, Tucandeo are currently flying the flag for a more progressive influenced sound, moody, bass driven tracks with stunning piano lead melodies or a more upbeat tech layered bigger room sound that keeps its progressive backbone. This sound comes across not only in their studio work but in radio guest mixes and live performance. It came about after 3 years of learning the producing ropes while gigging about the local scene. In early 2009 it was time to take their love for producing and DjJing to the next level so they set about trying to get some material signed. In a short space of time Tucandeo had clocked up multitude of remixes and original tracks that have picked up support from Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Markus Schulz, M.I.K.E, Agnelli & Nelson, Aly & Fila , Sean Tyas , Roger Shah, Stoneface & Terminal , Niklas Harding, Suzy Solar, Manuel Le Saux , Marcus Schossow, Ernesto & Bastian, Jorn Van Deynhoven, John Askew, Claudia Cazaku , Pedro Del Mar , Ken Spector, Ilya Soloviev, Solarstone ,Fast Distance,Riccocha, Kiholm , Graham Gold, John Gibbons ,Perceptive Radio , Vonyc Sessions and trance legend Matt Darey who tipped them as ones to watch out for in 2010! The guys currently have releases or forthcoming tracks on labels such as the Armada imprint owned by Armin Van Buuren, Markus Schulz' , Coldharbour Recordings plus the tasty Infrasonic Recordings and Navigation Records. Remixes include Keenan & Anderson feat ENDC - Drift Away (Tucandeo Vocal Mix and Dub) which has received support from the one and only Paul Van Dyk on his weekly radio show Vonyc Sessions, Element One - The Limited (Tucandeo Remix)and original track "Tucandeo feat Cat Martin - "Novembers" which has again got worldwide support. After the success of "Novembers " came more releases on Navigation Records including Tucandeo feat Cat Martin - Silent Scream,Tucandeo - Ever After Tucandeo - Silhouette Tucandeo - Rise For You that each have some hot remixes from established producers from all over the globe and on the remix front Ledo - Placebo (Tucandeo Remix) Besides up and coming Irish siren Cat Martin they have also collaborated on vocal works with Jennifer Hershman , Michelle Hutcheson and the famous Dutch vocalist Manon Polare who worked under the alias of Esmaye with artists such as Tiesto ,Andy Duguid, E-Craig and Progression. Next up was Tucandeos Meridan EP on the well respected Infrasonic Recordings new sub label, Infra Progressive. The EP features the tracks Meridian, One Summers Day, Another Day and Tir Na Nog and has scored top 10 positons in the download charts and recieved support from many international djs. 2010 will see the duos debut release on Harmonic Breeze Recordings owned by young Turkish trancer Faruk Sabanci as well as their biggest track to date forthcoming on Armadas Coldharbour Recordings called "Waiting For The Sun" .Alongside these the pair will be aiming for more top labels that push a more proggressive trance sound and working on a vast array of more original, vocal and remix projects. The name Tucandeo comes from a hybrid of trance and the latin word Candeo! "Candeo" means to " To shine, to glow, to sparkle " and the young Irishmen certainly haven’t let the meaning slip as they continue to grow as up and coming trance artists. 2010 is the year when Tucandeo raise the bar again while they continue their journey and spread their love for progressive and trance across Ireland and indeed the world.
