Tripti Mukherjee has been reckoned as an illustrious Hindustani Classical vocalist. Tripti Mukherjee being the disciple of maestro Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj has been regarded as one amongst Panditji`s generation of musicians. Tripti Mukherjee has always attempted to enrich her musical skills with her `mellifluous, divine voice, tremendous passion and dedication`, which without any doubt can be referred as `a seamless blend of somber and rich elements`. The kind of execution she used to give can be attributed with `delicate, refined and intricate qualities`. Her audiences always gets magnetized with her performances as she exhibits her gayaki in such a way that can not be take place without in-depth knowledge, quality. Tripti Mukherjee for the last 14 years have consecrated her life to an aim to spread the rich heritage of India`s culture in its original forms throughout United States of America. Though in US the Indian culture has been established its foundation in the form of Dance and instrumental music, the purified form of traditional vocal classical music was rare to find out at that time. Acknowledging this reality, Tripti Mukherjee has taken initiative to establish `the first institute for vocal Indian classical music in the U.S., in the name of her guru, the Pandit Jasraj Institute for Music Research, Artistry and Appreciation - the Mewati Gurukul`. Tripti Mukherjee The institute by the time has expanded its arms in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The institute also launches a magazine called `JasRangi`, which have been developed by the students of the institute. Students on a regular basis used to contribute their writings `on history and theory of Indian classical music in a current cultural context`. However Tripti Mukherjee`s effort to instill the classical arts in America have been proved to be a success. Her effort today has been considered to be priceless service to the Indian Community who resides at United States of America. Tripti Mukherjee being a performing artist always attempted to carry out the musical tradition that she has imbibed from her gurus like Mrs. Bharatikar Choudhary, Mr. Sunil Das, Mr. Prasun Banerjee, Mrs. Sipra Bose, and of course Sangeet Martand Pandit Jasraj. Acknowledging her talent she has been given the honor of being Grade-A artiste on the All India Radio and National Television. She has executed many times on the national programme. As recognition to the expertise of her outstanding talent, she has been conferred many accolades like the `Amir Khan Memorial Award`, the `Pandit Jasraj Gaurav Puraskar`, the `Pandita` award from a University of Karnataka and the `Acharya Shiromani ` award from the music students in USA. Tripti Mukherjee has performed at the annual Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh in Hyderabad, the Hari Vallabh Sangeet Samaroh in Jalandhar, and the Sawai Gandharva Music Festival in Pune and the Dover Lane Music Festival in Kolkata - India`s prime music festivals. She has bagged the honor performing at the major cities of India and United States. She has performed at Carnegie Hall (New York), Tagore center (Berlin), Nairobi (Kenya), Bahrain Arts Performing Center, and Queen Elizabeth Hall (London). Tripti Mukherjee has however fetched the honor of being performed at 2007 Diwali Festival, which was held at the White House in Washington D.C.
