Born in Salerno, Italy, Dario Lupo's musical instinct started to become evident as a young teenager. His first production endevours comprised of commercial dance tracks, a musical style particularly popular in Italy, but his ambition and his soul soon guided his path to his true passion -- trance. His first contact with the trance music world was provided by the track "Gouryella - Ligaya", which struck him to a degree that he instantly felt a connection with the harmonic soundscapes, very characteristic of the genre. Over the last few years, Dario's ex-project, "Tragida", served as a vessel for him to develop his production skills and sensitivity towards his music. It was under that name that Dario signed his first contract with start-up label "Emotive Sounds", where he would release his first track, "Saint Rush - Pyro (Tragida Remix)". His debut release attracted the attention of many entities in the trance scene, and with the emerging successs, he later joined other labels eventually creating his other alias, "Likuida". In early 2007, Dario joined "Daif Records", a Swedish label owned and managed by Joakim Daif & Aimee Bailey, working with "Royal Tek Records", runned by Fabio Batti, at the same time. Tragida's singles "My Pinky Lady" and "Elisabeth", gave the trance scene another taste of what Dario was capable of. With the exposure, it was not long since his productions started to spin on such shows as Armin van Buuren's "A State of Trance", Above & Beyond's "Trance Around the World", Aly & Fila's "Middle East in the Mix" & "Future Sound of Egypt" and Super8 & DJ Tab's "Anjunabeats Worldwide". In 2008, Dario decided to put an end to "Tragida" and "Likuida", and focus solely on his new project "Colorspace" which consists on a more mature approach to his productions, essentially being a natural evolution of both his later projects. Other aliases include Afterstar, Colorspace, Likuida, Simplicity and Aerodive (with Joakim Daif ). Read more on Last.fm.
