Total Sickness

Total Sickness ( SICK Records México / Mandala Records France) Total Sickness are Dj's Hoffman and Ergot. This proyect is born as a desire of bringing a fresh sound into the world of psychedelic trance, and also to make a mayor breakthrough in the Trance scene in México. In the year 2001 Cristhian Robles (a.k.a. Hoffman) and Leonardo Marquez (a.k.a. Ergot) both studying Computer Systems Engineering at ITESM university, meet each other in a psychedelic trance party in Guadalajara, Mexico. This year they get envolved with psychedelic trance and start experimenting with music and sound design software. It was in the same year in the "Maraakame Trance Festival", the first trance festival in Mexico, where they had the most psychedelic experience of their lifes under the influence of this music. The music had so profound effect on their conciousness that they also became curious for sound engineering. Hoffman and Ergot decided then to begin a new trance project called Total Sickness. These boys where soon creating their own sound with influences of other artists like Hallucinogen, GMS, Infected Mushroom, Astrix and others. Later on the year 2002, Leonardo left the Computer Engineering University and goes to Mexico City to study Sound Engineering and Music Production at 'G.Martell Music College'. There he begins his side proyect (Amadetzaná) with Oscar Cervantes. Cristhian continued at Computer Engineering for one and a half years more but then decided to leave and rather join his friends at the Music and Audio College to study the latest cutting edge applications for Sound Design such as Pro Tools LE, Logic Audio, Cubase SX, FL Studio, among others. In the year 2004 Total Sickness set their studio in Mexico City were they begin to produce many new tracks and playing them all around México in dancefloors from 100 to 10,000 people. They have played with other artists like GMS, Infected Mushroom, Shpongle, Hallucinogen, CPU, Sirius Isness, Eskimo,Bizarre Contact, Xerox&Illumination, Aquatica, Dimitry Nakov, among others. Little by little, this boys have been gaining acknowledgement in the trance scene in Mexico and are considered one of the most talented in the new generation of artists. Total Sickness have released tracks on compilations of Mandala Records, Psyclon Records, Geomagnetic, AP Recs, and Enigmatic Sounds. Read more on Last.fm.
