Toni Tornado

Toni Tornado artistic name of Antonio Viana Gomes, (Mirante of the Paranapanema, 26 of May of 1931) is an actor and Brazilian singer. In 1970 he was the winner of the national phase of the V International Festival of the Song with music “BR-3”. Estreou in the television in 1972 with the novel “Hieronymite”, of the TV Tupi. He is one of the most important black actors of the country, and is distinguished in general for the fight in the movement for the biggest participation of black artists in the arts. Already Globe was reprehended by the Net for reiterated times because of this. It frequently participates of some novels and minisséries, but almost never, unhappyly, in prominence papers. The biggest paper of its career in the TV was, doubtlessly, the body guard of Getúlio Vargas Gregorio Fortunato, the “Black Angel”, in minissérie August, of 1993, based in the workmanship of Rubem Fonseca. Another marcante body guard of its career was Rodésio, that worked for the Pig Widower (Regina Duarte), in Roque Santeiro - so marcante that, in one of the recorded ends, was Rodésio who finished with Pig, that however it was vetoed by the emitting globe from fear of the reaction of the public.
