Thomas Troelsen

Thomas Troelsen (born 6 October 1981) is a composer and producer from Skive, Denmark. Thomas Troelsen is a singer, songwriter, and producer since responsible for chart-topping hits, like Junior Senior's "Move Your Feet", Monrose's "Hot Summer", PRIVATE's "My Secret Lover", BoA’s "Eat You Up", and Aura Dione's “Geronimo.” He was also the lead singer of the band Superheroes and currently fronts the band PRIVATE. In 2001 he opened his recording studio, Delta Lab Studios, in Copenhagen, Denmark. The studio is inspired by Danish designer, Verner Panton, and has a vast collection of analog equipment. Bloc Party recorded their debut album Silent Alarm at Delta Lab. Troelsen has produced, mixed, and written for Aloe Blacc, Aqua, Aura Dione, Basshunter, Bryan Adams, Kenneth Bager, Melody Club, Paradiso Girls, Plastilina Mosh, Sarah Connor, Sash!, Shayne Ward, The Raveonettes, Whyte Seeds, and Young Hot Rod. Additionally, he has remixed songs for artists such as A.R.E. Weapons and Stereo Total. Thomas was profiled in Dazed & Confused, NME, Attitude, The Guardian, and Monocle. In January 2010, Thomas's group PRIVATE released its single "My Secret Lover" in the UK on Relentless/Virgin Records with remixes by Diplo, Egyptian Lover, Rune RK, and Spencer & Hill. The single achieved platinum sales in Denmark, where it was released on Universal Music. Troelsen, along with Remee and Hanne Sørvaag, wrote and produced the German entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, "Disappear," performed by No Angels. The duo also wrote and produced Monrose’s "Hot Summer" (#1 GAS, #6 Eurochart Hot 100 singles) and Danish X-Factor 2008 winner Martin's single "Show The World" (#1 Denmark). German multi-platinum artist Sarah Connor also approached Troelsen to write five tracks on her latest album, Sexy as Hell, including the single, "Under My Skin", which reached #4 on the German singles chart and #20 on the Eurochart Hot 100 Singles. Thomas also co-wrote and produced the song "Lucky Boy", performed by Junior Senior's Jeppe Breum Laursen, which was an entry in 2009's Denmark Eurovision contest. Troelsen is regarded as one of the most successful and prolific writers and producers of K-Pop. Troelsen wrote and produced Korean singer BoA's single, "Eat You Up" (#1 Korea and Japan). The single was released on November 11, 2008 in the US featuring a remix of the original with guest rapper Flo Rida. Troelsen also wrote and produced SHINee's single "Love Like Oxygen" as well as TVXQ's single "Mirotic". The album of the same name was the best selling album of 2008 in Korea. Taiwanese Mandopop singer Jolin Tsai recorded a cover of Monrose's "Hot Summer", written by Troelsen, entitled "Hot Winter". Troelsen has also written and produced for Korean girl groups f(x), including the first single off their mini-LP "Nu Abo", and platinum-selling Girls' Generation. In 2010, Troelsen wrote and produced the song "Dangerous (Red Alert)" for BoA's new album. In 2011, he wrote two tracks, "Opera" and "Perfection", for Super Junior-M. Thomas is currently writing and producing for Vox Halo feat. La Dolla (Virgin UK), Young Hot Rod (G-Unit), Lauren Bennett (Interscope), Bella (Ultra), and PRIVATE (Universal). In July 2011, Thomas signed with EMI Music Publishing UK. In October 2011, Thomas co-wrote the song "Geronimo" for Aura Dione, which went to #1 on the German singles chart.
