The Wrongstars have created a brain twisting mix that crosses many genres. After speaking to Paul from The Wrongstars today i can say they are taking their show live this year and will definetly be something to check out" - Steve Lamaqc Radio One "WRONGSTARS ROCK.....this reminds me of my early band J-pac with no holds barred up for it sound!!! Audio bullys nearly got it and old whats his face mike skinner was a touch away from getting it but wrongstars represent all the fucking madness of todays England!!!!" - Alex Mechanoise Breaks FM "The Wrongstar mob limbers up for 'Beats Rhymes and Conflicts' with this hoodlum of an album taster. Topped with a cheeky bandito voxpop, '…Beautiful' sends a Boeing-powered guitar line skidding into an OTT bass deformation taking great chunks out of the scenery. 'Battle', with a mock-Rocky introduction featuring a fight announcer doing stand-up, is a grime-style burn-up. ESQ and Ikon swap playground insults and rep-boosting verses, and it'd be destined for ChannelU but for the orthodox breaks tempo. Merka's insane remix revisits muddily programmed old skool hardcore, taking funk breaks raving and clogging up basslines." One Week to Live Magazine "Apparently born out of a time when waiting for The Man in deepest Essex, the Wrongstar Society now have an album 'Beats, Rhymes & Conflicts' ready to go. The first taste utilises rolling breaks and twangy bass guitar, intercut with a cheeky vocal and varied beat pattern interludes. Almost sounds like a stop/start Merka cut, so it's apt that they get him to remix 'Battle'. A shouty Audio Bullys vocal is warped into a Merked shuffly thing, complete with UFO fills and squiggles. Different." DJ Mag "Wrongstars have a new fresh different sound which is great for the breaks scene" - Rennie Pilgrem "Love the Wrongstars Stuff have been playing Give it to them loads" - Utah Saints "Im Feeling Give it to em.Good Pushing Bass!" - Leeroy Thornhill (Ex Prodigy) "Love Give it to them, will be using on our Radio One Mix" - Aquasky We are the Wrongstars. If you like generic boring dance music that is swamping the whole industry grab your coat your leaving. Personally our tastes range right across the board from nose bleed dance music to Johnny Cash and everything in between. Our first Album is entitled Beats, Rhymes and Conflicts and is out in Feb 2008 on the Unstable Label. But you dont have to wait that long to hear our tunes as from Oct 2007 to Jan 2008 we will be releasing four of the biggest tunes off BR&C along with remixes by some of the biggest names in the Breaks, DNB and Dubstep scenes. We also had various other artists help us on the Album including Mc Ikon who features on Battle,Richard Judge from Sub Pop Sunday who plays guitar on Bring you down and Freakshow. There is also our two shady members Esq who features on Battle and Section 60 and Skelator who you are sure to see at gigs very soon. Both masked up for various reasons.... Read more on Last.fm.
