Born in the Eighties, fashioned in the Nineties and seasoned in the Noughties, The Stilts subscribe to the balls-out rock and roll school of music that says no to synthesizers and yes to passion, integrity and energy. Bored of the plethora of shoe-gazing nihilists that regularly dominate the charts and pollute the radio waves, The Stilts inject enthusiasm and cheeky humour into their home grown brand of punk rock. Formed in 2006 The Stilts have created an impressive range of their own material, from the laid back musings of Sunshine Breaks to the aggressive resonance of Lois Lane. Funk driven bass lines and overdriven guitar rhythms underpin twinkling melodies and vocal harmonies that deal with life outside the bubble. The band’s reputation for its live performance has taken it to top venues where they have played to a loyal fan base and picked up new friends and fans along the way.
