The Seven Seals

The Seven Seals are a 3-member band hailing from Thüringen, Germany. Their songs are a mix of Industrial, Rock and Gothic genres, but like most great bands their music refuses to be bound by classification. Martin von Auen provides the dark and distinctive vocals for the group. Brothers Andy and Zeb fill out the remainder of the trio. Born in 1987, Andy is the youngest member of the group and come from Germany's hip-hop scene. He lent vocals for the track "Ich Weine" and from there became a full-fledged member of the group. As Andy's older brother, Zeb filled in for Andy while he was in the hospital due to a traffic accident and soon became a member of the band as well. Tommy Feile can be heard playing the group's killer guitar riffs. The band has successfully gained a large following in Germany. So much so, that famed industrial artist, Joachim Witt, personally called to thank them for their cover of his hit song "Herbergsvater." Other artists have been impressed as well, including B-Tight of the famed German hip-hop label Aggro Berlin and Nik Page of Blind Passengers. The songs on "1" are a combination of original tunes as well as exciting new interpretations of other well-known songs. Disco group, Boney M's "Daddy Cool" gets turned into a pulse pounding industrial classic, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under The Bridge" becomes a heartwarming ballad with guest vocalist Sybille. Even Frank Sinatra's classic "My Way" (lyrics by Paul Anka) is turned into a rousing rock anthem. This album also features a number of guest artists including: Sybille, Terrel Woodbury and Patrick Weide.
