The Puppets

There are at least 5 bands named the Puppets. One was a girl group from the 1960s, who had the hit "Ain't Gonna Eat My Heart Out". One was a New Wave synthpop band that came to prominence in the early 1980's with their hit "The Way of Life." Another is the collective genius of three young ladies from the Coventry/Leicester region. They formed in 2005, and have since being playing their "cacophany of happiness and sadness" at gigs in the Midlands and London. The fourth, perhaps less commemorated by the modern era, was a Lancashire band belonging to the Merseybeat scene. They had a couple of hits, including 'Poison Ivy' and 'Everybody's Talking'. Fifth band, was a Thrash metal band from Bosnia. They recorded 2 Demos and were active from 2004, until the break up in late 2007. Sixth band, a new/stoner metal band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (only "Puppets"). They released a split through São Paulo's Shinigami Records with both Hocnis and Imminent Attack, and yet made part of a compilation album by the same record label, with 6 other brazilian heavy bands. Active since 2011. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
