We are The Mooncats, a 4 piece experimental band from the edge of nowhere. We don't take ourselves too seriously, we don't lie to you about gigs we're doing, we're about playing live because we love it. There's many bands out there that can be pigeon holed, "We're an indie band"...."we're metal"......we challenge you to try and define what we do! Why stick to a style when you can reinvent? Society is unstable and changes often, as such we feel the music should reflect this. The band came to be several years ago now and quickly built up a following both locally and nationally. We gigged constantly and as a result developed a love for the live performance. Our individual musical tastes are reflected in the output of the band, we don't write songs to make people happy, we write songs that need writing, we say what needs saying. Miss What? the debut album was released in 2009 and proved to be an exciting release for us. We are currently recording new material for the follow up.
