The Hollywood Flames

The Hollywood Flames was an American RnB group formed in 1949 out of the Watts section of Los Angeles. The original members included Bobby Byrd (lead), Bobby Byrd also know as "Bobby Day" famous for his bg hit "Rockin Robin" David Ford, Curlee Dickins and Willie Ray Rockwell. The group was later joined by Earl Nelson, who sang lead for the group's biggest hit 'Buzz, Buzz, Buzz' which was released in 1957 on the EBB Records label. Read more on Last.fm.
