The Drama Summer

Lineup at time of breakup: Nick Moore - Vocals Jim Nahorny - Guitar Anthony Damschroder - Guitar (2005-breakup) Kevin Bodnar - Bass Jim Puro - Drums The Drama Summer were a pop punk band based out of Findlay, Ohio and signed to Eulogy Recordings. They released several demos, and then in 2004, they self released their first album, "Ready For Anything". Their enthusiasm for their music, and their dedication to their fans and the music scene quickly garnered them a large regional fan base. The Drama Summer toured as often as possible, and made fast friends with acts including Hit The Lights (who were from the area), and Punchline. In 2005, TDS released the "Murder Without a Touch" EP, and added ex Mayday Mayday guitarist Anthony Damschroder to the line up on guitar, and moved guitarist/vocalist Nick Moore to strictly vocals. Murder Without a Touch was well recieved by fans, and the band began touring again. Like the first album, fans commented that Nick's voice didn't transfer well from a live setting to recordings, giving a different feel to the music. In 2006, The Drama Summer silenced those complaints by re-recording several fan favorites, and adding two new tracks on the "Make a Move" EP, which saw a re-release on Eulogy Recordings. Make a Move showcased a renewed vocal style by Nick Moore, and truly captured the feel of their music when seen live. MaM also showcased chunkier riffs, and production and recording by Steve Soboslai of Punchline. Shortly after signing to Eulogy, and re-releasing the EP, The Drama Summer broke up due to issues among it's members. Nick Moore and Jim Nahorny joined with other local scene veterans, and formed the band that became the christian screamo juggernaut BEFORE THEIR EYES. Anthony, Kevin, and John joined with members of the band "Sound the Siren" and formed the band "Plague The City". Plague The City kept more in line with the original sound of TDS, and while well recieved locally and regionally, never found a record deal before dissolving, possibly due to the short amount of time that TDS was signed before breaking up. Anthony found his way into BEFORE THEIR EYES after one of their repeated line up changes. All of the ex-members of TDS are still active in the music scene, whether is be on a local, or national level. One notable fact about the "Make A Move" era TDS lineup is that both guitarists shared rhythm and lead duties, which is quite uncommon. Read more on Last.fm.
