Aloha from Hawaii! TTYM or Talk to you music is from the island of Oahu. All four of the members met while teaching or taking lessons at a popular local music school called Chuck James Music Studio. Original drummer(Jon Francis), guitarist(Jeff), and Keyz(John Abreu) all graduated together from Mililani High school in 2006. Like so many other bands do, the members of TTYM were gigging and playing with another band while being formed(Tru Rebels). Although Tru rebels was a cool and fun gig, drummer Jeff James had vision of starting a band that emcompassed styles of music that were uncommon to its Hawaii Landscape. Jeff James took hold of the idea and put together a group that fused jazz/r&b/latin/hiphop/reggae. It was a slow start but TTYM soon realized dozens of gigs in just a few short months. Jeff took control of playing the guitar/vocals, but soon realized the inexperience was plaguing his music. At this point TTYM brought in a new and fresh Talent that Jeff(guitar/vox) and John(keyz) met in while in High School drumline..Max Louie. For many months Max shared light on music with his polished and soulful vocals, but TTYM had other direction in mind, and soon let Max do his own project(pipeline). TTYM tried out a few other female vocalist, but soon realized that their main focus for their music should be to create their own unique original music.This has led them to where they are now...recording for their album that should be due out by the end of this year. On the contrary, TTYM gigs regularly around Oahu. They have played at venues such as Shack Waikiki Mai Tais, Dave and Busters, Lulus, Tropics, Trump Towers, Ala Moana, The Loft, Living room, Snappers, amongst others. TTYM takes a lot of pride in their live performance, and feels there is no end to their music's capability. Our mission is to use positivity, ethics, and morals in all of our music.
