Steve Chambers has been writing and playing songs for around ten years and, this time, he wanted to do something a little different. He had done the typical singer/songwriter thing, the typical rock band thing, and nothing seemed to be a good fit. The main goal of songwriting for him has always been to convey an emotion. In order to do that, he decided to work with a great local producer (Scott Fritz of Stranded on a Planet Productions) to create a sound that captured the emotions of the songs, but also developed and textured them in a distinctive way. His most recent, and self-titled, EP has received an overwhelmingly positive response from fans and peers across the country. Steve continues to expand his fan base by playing acoustic and full-band shows around Chicago and is quickly making a name for himself through his engaging live performances. Steve has performed at several major Chicago venues including The Elbo Room, which was named "Most Popular Rock Club" in 2008 by the 27th Annual Chicago Music Awards. In August 2008, he was a semi-finalist in the Annual UK Songwriting Contest. Additionally, in the last three months alone, Steve has been given almost every Garageband.com Reviewer's Pick Award for the successful single "Leave Some Fire For Me" including Track of the Day, Best Male Vocals, Guitars, Lyrics, and Melody to name a few.
