There are multiple artists named Starfuckers: 1) Starfuckers was an experimental rock band from Bologna, Italy, founded in 1987. They employed heavy use of electronic devices in addition to electric guitar. Considered to be an extreme deconstruction of Beefheart aesthetics in which most of the notes have been removed. In 2003 the band changed its name to Sinistri. 2) Starfuckers was a rock band from København, Denmark, founded by Kim Larsen, former lead singer of the 1970s rock band Gasolin'. Other members of Starfuckers were Stig Møller (ex-Steppeulvene), Thomas Grue, Jess Stæhr, Ken Gudman and Ole Frø. They released one album, a live record titled Vogt Dem for efterligninger in 1978. It was recorded just after Gasolin' split up, and consist of Larsen songs with one exception - a song by Møller. Rumour has it that certain instrumental parts had to be rerecorded in a studio, because the band was too drunk during the live performances that made up the recording. Larsen was credited as "assistent", Møller as "union man", Grue as "apprentice" Stæhr and Gudman as "trainees", and Frø as "boss". 3) Ushering in a new age and vibrant ideology, Starfuckers have played host to Australia’s biggest and best festivals and club nights, while still hanging their hats at the eternally-infamous Starfuckers party in Sydney. Mr. Disorder, Hookie, Trentertainment and Donnie Blood are the lifeblood of Starfuckers and the personality behind the brand. Their unique ‘big-room’ production style has earned support from huge international DJs and producers, from their Remixes and Original material to cheeky Bootlegs. Forever studio-bound, Starfuckers music is designed for the dance floor – it’s final destination. It is said that no-one experiences Starfuckers unless they have seen them live, and their notorious show antics are testament of their exclusive abilities to Pump the crowd’s energy and raise hell. The increasingly ubiquitous brand has gone from strength to strength in an exponential explosion, earning it’s members a reputation as the most unique batch of misfits in the biz.
