Soylent Green, hardcore punk 1. soylent green (Germany): soylent green was founded in 1995 in the midst of Lower Bavaria, Germany, by four friends knowing each other from attending the same high school. They started out writing songs heavily influenced by the Grunge / Crossover scene releasing their first demo “Emotional Mind Burst” soon to be followed by their first full length CD “Temple of the sun”. 1998 marked a turning point in soylent green’s sound which could already be heard in two songs of "believe", their third album, this time appearing on tap-water records. Since the beginning, there had always been a great focus on melodies and subsequently, the music adopted to this. The result could be heard on the 2000 release „the space between us“ now settling deeply inside – mostly heavily emotional – Indie-Pop / College-Rock and was further elaborated on „signals & sentiments“ (2002). Around this time, soylent green began to shift their base to Munich with all members arriving there sooner or later. Since then, lots of new songs were written and are in the process of being written, some were already recorded as demo versions ("rough mixes").
