Sound Factory

1- Sound Factory (also written SoundFactory) is a Swedish dance act consisting of Emil Hellman and James Gicho, also known as St. James. They recorded the album "Product" and some singles like "Understand This Groove", "2 The Rhythm", "Come Take Control" and "Good Time". 2- Sound Factory is also an Italian pop band. The members of Sound Factory are Julie P. (vocals & programming), Giovanni “MJ” Signoretti (piano & keyboards) and Roberto “Bob” Baruffaldi (drums). In summer 2002, at a musical and poetry event in Rome, Giovanni played for the first time with the singer/songwriter and composer Julie P. as an acoustic duo, piano and voice. After this, the pair decided to start working together joining their different musical backgrounds, thus giving birth to the Sound Factory project. Giovanni then, with Julie, started the work of production, creating new songs, and changing some of her old songs and taking care of the arrangements and composing the parts of all the instruments. The work of the pair gave birth to the release of "Dreaming On", a CD including thirteen tracks and featuring the collaboration, as supervisor and more, of the drummer Roberto "Bob" Baruffaldi who, as well as than being part of the live line-up (together with Giacomo Anselmi (guitar), Fabio Penna (bass) and Valerio Passi (guitar)), also entered the project. The project features musicians such as Giacomo Anselmi (guitar), Simone Ceracchi (bass), Fabio Penna (bass), Valerio Passi (gtr), Lorenzo Feliciati (bass), Luca Pirozzi (bass), the jazz musician Rocco Zifarelli (guitar) and jazz guitarist Mike Stern on four tracks. They have a contract with Tunecore. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
