slowmotioncommotion.bandcamp.com Slow Motion Commotion is a folk band from Kansas City, and consists of three people: Ian Johnson-Banjo, Vocals Shane Deaver-Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Mandolin, Vocals Nathan Knepper-Harmonica Ian and Shane have always been interested in music and listening to music in general. They both have their own views on writing and musical taste. They had messed around and written joke songs just for fun, but were never serious about it. Then the two of them each went through their own musical renaissance. Their tastes changed immensely, so obviously, the writing changed with it. Looking back now, they had no idea how they used to listen to what they did. One night while hanging out, Ian and Shane got an itching to write a song. It was quite late, and they wanted to write outside. This was the spark that started Slow Motion Commotion. They went to a park that was about 25 minutes away, because the park is open all day and night. They sat down and wrote our first song in one night. That song now has the title "Thugs Need Hugs (Philip's Lament Pt. I)." Slow Motion Commotion now has a small cache of songs that are finished, and some that need a little bit of finishing. Ian and Shane look forward to playing more shows, Open Mic Nights, and First Fridays. The band cannot be more thankful for the support that they have gotten so far, and hope to get more followers in the days and months to come. They are open to trying new things, and absolutely love the sound that we have obtained. Read more on Last.fm.
