Guelph, Ontario’s hard rocking kingpins Sinister Trailerpark Magic embark on a 25 date European tour this fall. After years of religiously touring in the Canadian and US markets with notable acts like The Misfits, As I Lay Dying, Raised Fist and Rage Against the Machine, the band (made up of Jeremy “Pancake Porterhouse” Cavan on guitar and vocals, Tobias “Rythmatic Fever” Cavan on vocals and drums, Tavis “Donna Jewel” Baird on guitar, and Dustin “Traxyl Burns” Braiden on bass) will take on sweaty bars in foreign lands like Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and many more, in venues where a Canadian band has never played. The tour kicks off in Slovakia on November 20th, 2008 at the Irish Pub in Banska Bystrica. The tour features Sinister Trailerpark Magic as the headlining and only Canadian band playing this year's 6 week long Mayday Rock Festival, the largest indoor rock festival in Poland. Sinister Trailerpark Magic will close the festival after sure-to-be-face-melting sets from overseas metal heavy weights like Lizzy Borden (USA), Eminence (Brazil), and The Foreshadowing (Italy). They will also be teaching a workshop to young, up and coming local bands in Lithuania on December 1st. Half of the tour will be spent with Netherlands’ CiLiCe and the other half touring alongside Hungary’s INSANE best known for their latest video “Hocus Pocus” which hit top 10 on MTV Europe. Sinister Trailer Park Magic released their self titled debut album in 2007 to instant critical acclaim. Exclaim! Magazine boasted “a swirling vortex of riffs and power in line with NoMeansNo’s most impressive work” and CBC Radio 3 was quick to endorse the band, suggesting you, “keep your eyes on them.” Their distinct musical genre bending ways have gained them fans from all corners of the musical spectrum. They’ve gained a loyal following and become well known for switching with ease from bludgeoning bass heavy metal chaos to romantic rock and roll balladry. These four seasoned musicians sure know how to get a crowd going. Europe doesn’t know what they’re in for Read more on Last.fm.
