Sean Maguire

Sean Maguire was born on 18th April 1976 in Ilford, Essexa and is of Irish descent. His first role was at the age of 5, opposite Sir Laurence Olivier in A Voyage Round My Father. In 1993 he joined the cast of the British soap EastEnders playing Aidan Brosnan, a young Irish footballer playing for fictional side Walford F.C. In 1994, Sean left the show to take a starring role in the BBC drama series Dangerfield, playing Marty Dangerfield. He has also appeared in Holby City and Sunburn. His success in Eastenders meant his character stayed for only a short time before Sean left to pursue a career in music, releasing a self-titled debut album in 1994 and two top 20 singles. His second album, Spirit, was released in 1996, spawning a further 4 top 20 singles including his biggest hit "Good Day". A greatest hits compilation was also released in 1998. Since this time, Sean has returned to acting and has moved into the world of film. He played the title role in the film "Prince Charming" in 2001, and in "Third Wish" in 2005. He has recently appeared in US Sitcom "The Class" as the openly gay Kyle Lendo but the show was cancelled in May 2007. Read more on Last.fm.
