Scott has ploughed a wide and all encompassing path during his 10 years as a DJ and producer, playing and producing right across the spectrum of house. His influences range from disco and funk right through to deeper peak time jams and mid-90’s US garage, taking in all that’s great about modern house music. Scott's energy and vibe as a performer has been winning him fans worldwide, and his reputation as a DJ and standout producer is one of the fastest growing the house world right now. 2012 was an exceptional year for Scott - his remix of 'Gabrielle' (a co-production with Matt Jam Lamont) went on to spend more than 4 consecutive weeks as the number one record on Traxsource and was one of the top selling tracks of the year. Grant Nelson singled out Scott's remix of Lovebirds 'Want You In My Soul' as "one of my favourite remixes of all time" and his pitch perfect interpretation of Hardsoul's seminal house classic 'Back Together' won him even more respect from across the house community. He has firmly cemented his place as one of the most exciting new house producers to emerge in recent times, with Traxsource and Stompy featuring no less than 22 of his productions in their respective 'Best of 2012' lists. In addition, he's been featured on several compilations in the last 12 months, appearing alongside global artists such as Cajmere, Maceo Plex, Pirupa, Subb-An, Crazy P and Sandy Rivera, showing that he has considerable clout to go with his considerable talent. Studio success is fundamental to Scott, but the true test of a DJ remains in the clubs, and in that spirit he has been rinsing his passport over the last couple of years too, playing in a number of clubbing destinations - Ibiza, Portugal, Amsterdam, Russia and the USA to mention a few. After his exploits at Miami WMC, he toured the US in the summer, taking in multiple dates spanning Mexico City, LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, Portland and more, playing alongside house heavyweights Mark Farina, Ron Carroll and Jay-J in the process. He maintains the same refreshing approach to his sets as to his productions, using his own remixes, unreleased edits and mixtools, playing right across the spectrum of house and seamlessly combining a variety of influences and styles. The result is a mixture of deep, disco and jackin' grooves - a uniquely soulful house sound with the dancefloor in mind. Scott’s label, connect:d, set up primarily as an outlet for his productions and co-productions, continues to go from strength to strength, with world class DJ’s such as Grant Nelson, MK, Gramophonedzie, Miguel Migs, Sonny Fodera, Tony Humphries and Gene Farris all playing and/or charting Scott’s music. As a DJ and performer, his reach and appeal continues to grow exponentially - he's provided guest mixes for Grant Nelson's Housecall, Anthony Angell's 'Essential House' and the 'Global Dance Session' - each of which are syndicated to over 2 million people worldwide. Never one to rest on his laurels, Scott continues to evolve as an artist, with current focus on creating original vocal tracks and songs, and exploring a deeper, more organic house sound with his DJ sets and productions. His impressive and diverse discography boasts releases on labels such as ITH (Defected), Hed Kandi, Nervous, Soulfuric, Kerri Chandler's Madhouse & Purple Music - and he shows no signs of letting up anytime soon. With a radio show and podcast in the pipeline, more huge projects on the way, and an ever growing fan base of listeners and peers alike, Scott looks destined to continue rocking the house.
