Bio Scarlette is a performer & songwriter of Finnish descent from London, England. Her stage name means a bright shade of RED and it was inspired by a fantasy film called Red Sonja. Scarlette left home with only couple of hundred pounds, her lyrics and show clothes to pursue her career in London. She started writing early demos with producers she met originally from Stage magazine and from local music adverts. She turned down an offer to study music at a university of Brunel, because she was determinant with her ambitions to become a global pop artist. In 2011 she opened a DJ show for Basement Jaxx in Brixton and was performing in the coolest London live venues at night. In February 2012 Scarlette flew to Los Angeles and she was invited to meet the founder of her vocal technique SLS, Seth Riggs, in his Hollywood home. Scarlette’s official debut EP album has been recorded in Paris and in the famous Dairy Studios of South London. Her first EP "Alpha Female" has been influenced by a US dubstep producer Skrillex and Gwen Stefani from No Doubt and also an array of genres from pop, electro, dubstep, new wave, rock and also 80’s pop/rock.. During July 2013, Scarlette’s song “Hard Rock Candy - CLX Remix” was nominated for the 2013 Hollywood Music & Media Awards, which will be televised in the U.S. on November 21st! Scarlette will appear on the red carpet (in Hollywood, Fonda Theatre) where she will be signing copies of her Debut EP "Alpha Female" to fans.
