Sal Paradise

Sal Paradise could refer to multiple musical artists, including: (1) a Christian rock band from Australia with releases on Tooth & Nail Records and Velvet Blue Music in the mid/late 1990s, whose humble sound followed in the then-current trend of lo-fi indie rock, keeping in line with label-mates Starflyer 59, Morella's Forest and Joe Christmas; (2) an alias of American tech-house producer Gregory Shiff, with output in the late/mid-aughts on Stewart Walker's Persona Records and John Digweed's Bedrock Records (among others); (3) an Australian new wave/synthpop singer-songwriter/producer mostly known for his 1984 LP entitled Shimmer released on Arista Records, with independent material released in the years since; and (4) an American drummer for San Francisco-based early/mid-1980s hardcore punk acts Code of Honor and Sick Pleasure. All aforementioned artists (and any others elsewhere) likely take the name "Sal Paradise" from Jack Keroauc's 1957 novel On the Road, in reference to its central character. Read more on Last.fm.
