Basque musical group founded in 2001 by Iñigo Muguruza, The group's name is inspired by a poem by Joseba Sarrionandia 'Sagarroiak". At first it was a rock and hardcore power trio. With the addition of Asier Ituarte (trombone) they turned into a sound of ska-punk and later they mixed rock and some Caribbean rhythms, like the sound of the previous Iñigo's group: Joxe Ripiau. The idea began to take place when Iñigo found himself discarding a lot of songs that did not fit with the style of Joxe Ripiau, because Joxe Ripiau is like the sun, in that place Sagarroi is the other side, the shadow.
