Sérgio Lopes

Sergio Ricardo Lopes, born October 27th 1964 in Campina Grande, Paraiba - Brazil started his career in music as bass player for Altos Louvores (Higher Praises) christian-band in 1986. Also a songwriter and singer he recorded his first solo album in 1991 called Nossos Dias (Our Days). Since then he has recorded 17 albums and sold more than 5 millions copies worldwide. Known for his sensibility, he goes from classic to Brazilian folk music.He's often called The Christian Poet by his public. Among the most successful songs O Amigo (The Friend), Para Onde Vão As Aves (To Where the Bird Goes), O Filho Pródigo (The Prodigal Son), O Rei e o Ladrão (The King and The Thief), A Dor de Lázaro (Lazarus Pain), A Fé (The Faith) and O Lamento de Israel (Israel Wailing).
