Roger Flyer

Roger Flyer is a songwriter and guitar player from Minnesota. He has been writing and singing songs for over 30 years. In 1980, he recorded an LP (remember those?) called Rivertown with beloved local Twin Cities trio Fitzgerald, Flyer and Boyce. The album went ‘tin’ in 2 months (1,000 copies) and received airplay on several local radio stations including WCCO and Garrison Keillor’s MPR morning show. “They look pretty serious on the album cover,” said Mr. Keillor after he played one of Roger’s songs. For the last 25 years, Roger and his wife Marnie have been innovators in family entertainment, singing for children and parents throughout the U.S. and Canada as The Flyers. They have performed more than 3000 times for more than a million children and adults. They have also released 2 classic CD’s and a video for children. From 1999-2007 Roger worked full time as a pastor in three churches. In late 2007, Roger is leaving pastoral church work and is returning to his roots as a singer-songwriter with a message for people who find themselves wandering in spiritual exile in these rumbling times: ‘Everybody has a song to sing’ Read more on Last.fm.
