Reed Deming is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter, artist, producer, guitarist, pianist, bassist and saxophonist born on February 6, 1999, in Columbia, Maryland. Singing since he was 4 years old (since 2003), Reed trained in Dallas, Texas at the Septien Entertainment Group where he performed with The Velocity Tour and studied in their Master's Program. In 2011, he won Best Overall Performance at the Septien Entertainment Master's Class competition at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas. Septien Entertainment, which has been featured on Nightline and billed as "the genius factory," is renown for launching such artists as Demi Lovato, Jessica Simpson, Ryan Cabrera, Nick Lachey and many others. In 2012, Reed was a contestant on the second season of The X Factor U.S.A. After participating in a live audition for celebrity judges Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears, he received four "yesses" and proceeded to the next round. He was one of only six teens of Spears' team and made it to the Top 24 of the competition. Earlier in the year, he starred in the music video for "Shut the Front Door (Too Young For This)" by Forever the Sickest Kids. In 2013, he released his first single, "Mercy on Me," followed by his first extended play, Ridiculous on July 26th. To promote the EP, he performed at Teen Hoot Fest, Pop City Tour, Pop Explosion Tour, Smash Fest, DigiFest Tour, Playlist Live and also opened for Aaron Carter and performed at Celebrate San Antonio's New Years Eve Bash with Selena's guitarist, Chris Pérez. In 2014, Reed released his single "Crash Test Dummy (Broken)," produced by Blue October's Matt Noveskey. Following the single's release, he put out his second extended play, Satellites on September 9th. That EP would peak at #9 on the iTunes Pop chart. After the release of that EP, he released a music video for the title track. In 2015, he released his single "Want Me More," complete with a music video, before releasing his third extended play, Sunny on July 31st. That EP peaked at #11 on the iTunes Pop chart and also featured music videos for the tracks "Sunny" and "Seven Billion Smiles." In 2016, Reed joined Jonah Marais on the "When the Daylight's Gone" Tour and released two singles, "California Coastline" and "Take You Out;" the latter will have a music video release. Throughout the summer, he will be a part of the "Boys of Summer" Tour with many artists, including Zach Herron and Devin Hayes. Reed loves all genres of music and is inspired by a variety of artists, such as Michael Jackson, Paramore, Josh Groban, OneRepublic, Andy Grammer, Gavin DeGraw and Coldplay. Reed enjoys performing and can mix his young vocals with the best out there today, including being in the top 10 finalists in Simon Fuller's Boy Band, a finalist in Kidz Bop and a veteran at commericals, webisodes, the national anthem, as well as gigging with top professional singing groups. And, he knows what he wants his style to grow into - an alternative pop sound - collaboration between OneRepublic, Coldplay and the Script. He also has perfect pitch! Just ask him to sing any note on the piano. In addition to being a musician, Reed is also an actor signed with Mitchell Gossett of the CESD Talent Agency. He was cast as a series regular in a pilot for Disney Channel in late 2014. http://www.youtube.com/user/ReedDeming http://www.reeddeming.com/ http://www.facebook.com/ReedDeming http://www.twitter.com/ReedDeming http://www.instagram.com/ReedDeming http://www.ReedDeming.tumblr.com Read more on Last.fm.
